Embodied Activism, Sivan Rubinstein

Gen Z. Multi-media artist: Dror Shohet. Layered footage by: Bar Alon, Dror Shohet. Layered dancing: Ruben Brown, Harriet Parker-Beldeau.

Aspex Portsmouth and The Place are pleased to present Embodied Activism, the debut visual arts exhibition by interdisciplinary dance artist Sivan Rubinstein.

Merging dance, projection, and installation, Rubinstein invites visitors on a journey through visceral choreography and movement provocations, addressing urgent global themes of migration and climate change to spark reflection and dialogue. Embodied Activism is a powerful reminder of humanity’s fragility and resilience, celebrating the interconnectedness that binds us together on our shared planet.

Embodied Activism is on display at Aspex Portsmouth from 31 January - 13 April 2025 and free to visit.
