Shapeshifters Exhibition in collaboration with Art Academy, The Artist’s Gallery, and Other World Wines

  • The Artists Gallery 185 Park Street London, Se1 9BL UK (map)

Generously sponsored by PhilosophyArts,Other world wines, and The Art Academy London

PhilosophyArts is delighted to collaborate with Shapeshifters, exhibiting at The Artist’s Gallery, Bankside — just opposite the Turbine Hall entrance of Tate Modern.

Alongside paintings, prints, and sculpture from a group of prize-winning emerging artists, the newly rebooted Philosophy Bar Game will be led by a team of philosophers from King’s College London, UCL, and LSE.

PhilosophyArts was drawn to the intriguing puzzles expressed in the group’s work. When asked “Why Shapeshifters?” they pointed out that the only constant is change. We can resist it, or embrace it — stepping into new ground with curiosity and courage. This inaugural exhibition celebrates change as shapeshifting, tracing their personal shifts from scholar, designer, scientist, fashion-maker, or financier to something more revealing — the artist.

Intrigued by the possibility of exploring these ideas philosophically — but informally — we’re offering ten-minute, one-to-one taster sessions with OTHER world wines. Nancy will be at the tasting table to help you select your wine, while Lucy, Ella, James, Sean, and Henry will host the game tables — each with a deck of cards from which you can choose a question and test your wit against (or with) our resident professional puzzle-solvers.

Exhibition opening hours are Tuesday 21 October from 10.30 closing Saturday 25 October at Midday.
