Kate Linden

I am a contemporary portrait painter and a Londoner. My work is personal and emotionally engaged with an empathy for ordinary people with extraordinary lives.

Vanessa Brassey

@vanessa.brassey

I am a figurative painter and academic philosopher. These are surprisingly sympathetic activities which allow me to investigate a number of unsolved puzzles using a wide variety of tools. Mostly, these puzzles are about emotions, pictures, and perception. In my own picture making, I aim to capture the transient emotions that make up the quicksilver of our lives. I teach at King's and I am also the British Society of Aesthetics Postdoctoral Fellow, 2022-2023I post pictures and free tickets to events on my instagram. Exhibition details are on my website www.vanessabrassey.com.

The portraits are oil paint on metal tile. Small tiles are 10cm by 10cm square.

Violetta Boyd

Coming from fashion background and after numerous art classes my journey brought me to acquiring a degree in Fine Art at Art Academy London. While interested in human behaviour and psychology I have been always fascinated by real faces and their expressions.

Violetta's sitters were Xueke, Merrill and Carys, the talk was about dreaming and work is done with pastels on grey paper 59cm by 42cm.
